Health & well-being

Health & well-being

Better health begins with access: to care, to information and to healthcare technology that communities can sustain.

What we work toward

  • Support efforts to reduce maternal, infant and child mortality.
  • Improve access to essential, reproductive and mental health services and education.
  • Strengthen the availability and effective use of healthcare technology.
  • Develop local biomedical equipment expertise and support health workers.
Historical program record

From the program record

My Sister’s Keeper combines menstrual and reproductive health education with access to reusable menstrual care kits. The program document reports more than 750 young women and girls attended seminars in 2021, with a further 150 reported at the time of the 2022 record.

The Medical Equipment Container Project began in 2021. The foundation’s historical health program also describes biomedical equipment technician internships supporting equipment maintenance and practical training in community hospitals.
